PCS Press Release:  Ilitch Holdings

For Immediate Release:  June 4th, 2010

PCS Awarded Network Technology Project for Blue Line Foodservice Distribution (an Ilitch Holdings Company)

DETROIT, Michigan – PCS will be installing a structured cabling solution for Blue Line Foodservice Distribution (an Ilitch Holdings Company).  The structured cabling solution will include fiber optic cabling, as well as Category 6 cabling, to support their AVAYA IP Office telephone system, all of their computer network needs, wireless infrastructure and overhead paging.

PCS has been a proud technology partner with Ilitch Holdings for the past 10 years.  Ilitch Holdings is the parent company to some of the most well known businesses in the sports, food & entertainment industries.  Ilitch Companies include the Detroit Tigers & Detroit Redwings; Little Caesars Pizza; and Olympia Entertainment which runs Comerica Park, Joe Louis Arena, Cobo Arena, the Fox Theatre, the City Theatre, and the Masonic Temple Theatre.

One of PCS’s proudest moments was in 2005 when PCS helped prepare Comerica Park in Detroit for one of Major League Baseball’s most prestigious events, the MLB All-Star game.  PCS help prepare Comerica Park for the 2005 MLB All-Star Game by running new fiber optic & network cabling for temporary offices for the FBI and Department of Homeland Security ensuring the telephone system and computer network extended to these offices; PCS also provided connectivity for the new “strike zone” technology that displays the strike zone on tv.  PCS was called to Comerica Park again the very next year to help prepare the technology needed for the 2006 World Series where the Detroit Tigers faced the St. Louis Cardinals.

PCS also assists Hockeytown’s Detroit Redwings, and Joe Louis Arena, and connected up the replay monitors and video displays within the last couple years.
